Joining the Finance team in Oslo, you will become part of COWI Group's Business Line Norway team. The team in Norway works closely with the Corporate functions located in Copenhagen, Denmark and Vilnius, Lithuania. Furthermore, there is a close cooperation to the Business Finance teams in Norway.

In this position, you will have the direct managing responsibilities of a small team located in Frederikstad, Norway. You will be managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting team and have a hands-on approach. You will be a part of the finance management team in Business Line Norway.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for:

  • Develop and lead a team located in Fredrikstad 
  • Build culture, motivate, and enable and prepare the business support function to meet the business’ needs
  • Ensure close cooperation with corporate functions in both Copenhagen/Lithuania and business finance functions in Norway 
  • Ensuring that COWI Group's policies and procedures are optimized and followed, ensuring an excellent control environment
  • Overall responsible for monthly and quarterly closing
  • Ensure reporting of financial statement and statutory and tax reporting
  • Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies and principles in accordance with COWI GAAP and Norwegian legislation
  • Main point of contact towards external auditors and internal compliance team,
  • Be a partner to the business around matters of policies and legislations
  • Some travelling will be required

 Furthermore, you have

  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Administration or related area
  • 5 or more years working experience from consulting, audit & accounting firm and/or multi-national company
  • Leadership experience is an advantage
  • Digitally confident and curious
  • A result- and solution-oriented mindset and pay high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills in Norwegian and English
  • Strong planning and project management skills
  • Good presentation and communication skills
